Trump: China Responsible for Stopping the Spread of Corona Virus
Trump criticized China for the pandemic and has often heralded its decision to close the US border with China in an effort to curb the plague.
“We are carrying out a very serious investigation … We are not happy with what China is doing,” Trump said at a White House press conference (27/04).
Some health experts say the effort gives US time to prepare, but the Trump administration is accused of ‘wasting the opportunity’.
“No one, except for one country, can be held accountable for what happened,” Trump said.
“We are not blaming anyone here, we are looking at a group of people who should have stopped the disease at its source.”
Georgia, Oklahoma, Alaska, and South Carolina have allowed several businesses to reopen. Other states have also issued plans to relax the rules in the coming weeks.
Earlier, a doctor who sat in the White House Covid-19 task force. Said social restrictions need to remain imposed over the coming months.
Doctor Deborah Birx responded to the statement of Vice President Mike Pence. Who previously said the pandemic in the United States would largely end in late May.
Doctor Birx said the fact that cases of the corona virus, such as in cities like Detroit and Louisiana. That seemed to have reached the summit did provide great hope.
