The Wuhan government announced that Wuhan City would open on April 8. Wuhan stated the good news in the form of zero new cases for 6 consecutive days. Therefore Wuhan residents in China are preparing to restart their activities, including opening their businesses again. The community was enthusiastic because for 2 months in this lockdown, they could only stay at home.
Some big malls re-open even though with strict protocols. Employees still wear masks and visitors still have to do body temperature tests.
In Hubei province, the government said 4.6 million people returned to work on Saturday. There are approximately 2.8 million Hubei people going to provinces in all parts of China. Some migrant workers traveled south of Guangdong and Fujian provinces, east of Zhejiang and Jiangsu provinces, and northeast of China.
When the number of cases of corona fell, the Chinese government struggled to revitalize the economy that was almost paralyzed due to lockdown from January yesterday. The government is encouraging businesses and factories to reopen to help the economic revival that has stopped for the past 2 months.
Although the number of corona cases has declined, the Chinese government is still wary of the second wave of corona viruses originating from international visitors. Most of the import cases are Chinese students returning from abroad.
